Open Eye Gallery

The Open Eye Gallery is a photographic and media arts exhibition centre based in Wood Street in the city centre, whilst FACT, also in Wood Street, plays host to arts and film media exhibitions. Open Eye Gallery exists to promote the practice, enjoyment and understanding of photography.

We seek to develop a community of interest in the medium, and to enrich our audiences' experience of photography through artistic programmes that are distinctive, innovative and challenging.

Lady Lever Art Gallery

The Lady Lever Art Gallery holds one of the most beautiful collections of fine and decorative arts in the country. It was founded in 1922 by William Hesketh Lever, the first Lord Leverhulme, in memory of his wife. The gallery displays works collected by Leverhulme throughout his life.
